Leanne & Bob Hinkle (owners of Actors Studio Inc. located at 150 Main Street in Hemphill) and friends celebrated a ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 12. Everyone enjoyed popcorn and sodas while marveling the many new décor changes, especially the fancy new seating. Local business owners and Chamber members were present to celebrate with the Hinkles.Check out their schedule for upcoming plays!

Shelia Harris, Texas A&M Agrilife District Extension Administrator, presents a commemorative plaque to Carolyn Barlow, naming the 4H District 5 Archery Tournament as the "Ronald Barlow Memorial 3D Archery Meet". Ronald Barlow was a long time Ag Extension Agent in this area, and 4H archery was a passion of his. The District 5 tournament, held this year at Fairway Farms in San Augustine, drew more than 100 4H archers from throughout East Texas to shoot the 30 station, unknown distance, 3D course.
